BSA 325 W15 : Final BTS plan

We have to make a BTS video for the end of the premiere, where you show the meaning and making of the film.

The audience has seen the movie, they've experienced the story, they've survived the emotional roller-coaster that is 'M.U.M', now its time to see how it all was made.

WHIP PAN!

-------------------------

The credits scroll by, a moment of black - a moment of silence.

The credits are back with a message - shut the fuck up.

It keeps scrolling, ya bois rock up, lit from below - doin' it.

Matthew Butler: You've seen the movie, you've seen the characters develop-
Bo Myburgh: You've experienced the story and survived the emotional rollercoaster that was Sophie's Battle against the machine--
Matthew Butler: But what you haven't seen how it was all made, join us as we take a step back to where it all began.

Dreamlike transition:

(Lighting is white and angelic) Pan down to Marcus lifeless

Marcus Beirowski (V.O): I was standing lifelessly when suddenly a genius idea sprung to my mind.

-his eyes pierce, his finger shoots:

Marcus Beirowski: An idea!

Marcus Beirowski (V.O) :I knew I had to tell the team.

Marcus turns, the team's gathered at the boom room table.

In slow motion he explains his idea, the team listen and nod, the sound is dreamily muted.

It focuses on Jacqui whose eyes light up.

Jacqui Bree: It was perfect, a little too perfect... everything just fell into place.

Whip pan! to dark, dreary writer's room. CRACK! The sounds of a storm raging outside.

Matthew Wilmshurst: Things fell out of place - quickly.

As just Matthew walks into the room, he clumsily drops the papers. The script drafts fly into the air.

Sam and Tyler react to the chaos, zoom in on Sam.

Sam Marrah: It was much harder than we could have ever anticipated.

Tyler stands up and he mouths: "I knew we had to enlist the help of famed New Zealand screenwriter Duncan Sarkies".

Tyler Baikie: I knew we had to enlist the help of famed New Zealand screenwriter Duncan Sarkies.

 Duncan discussing with writing team.

Bo Myburgh: Together, as with one voice, the script took form into seven pages of riveting storytelling.

Cut to imposing close-up of Matthew.

Matthew Butler:Things were starting to look up.

He looks up, start panning up, goes into foot up shot of:

Sonam, with clapper board.

Sonam Lama: Scene 1, Take 1

Cut B-roll on set.

It's the montage.

Here's the one liners:

Jacqui: This is more than just a colours amongst shadow

Mr. Bane: I was rather impressed with the final outcome

Matthew: First I write the scene, then I light the scene.

Kiarne: Watch out Deakins, there's a new DOP on set

Megan: We don't do it for the grades, we do it for the love of cinema

Kiarne wipes his extremely sweaty brow, phew, zoom into his forehead, fade to black.

Us.

Bo Myburgh: The filming was done, great success
Matthew Butler: The animation team swiftly took the wheel

Pan right to black, pan into boom room (niggas animating)

Time lapse for animation montage, where they slowly degrade - also time lapse for the screen, showing the development of animation process.

Enter Montage 2

Sorcia: We're not here to play games, we're here to make magic

Phillip (really fucking tired): Sleep is for the weak

Ryan: Watch out Weta Workshop, there's a new animating powerhouse in the house

Chloe: Some say its just a student film, I say we're going to the Oscars

Craig: FADE TO BLACK, I don't think so, we still out here
