BSA 206 W9 : Shyamalan Tests
We have to make some tests for our assignment, showing off techniques similar to our chosen directors.
I have taken the specific techniques that mentioned in my analysis and decided to create tests for each of them:
1) Unbroken, lingering takes that build tension
This is like the opening shot of Unbreakable, I will do a test where important information is delivered from one character to another and write some dialogue for the actors to say, the shot will be unbroken and slowly move between the two as the important information is relayed.

A guy refuses to stop crashing at his homies' home, he has been given notice and the home owner's girlfriend finally pressures him to make him move out. The new guy is moving in on the same day.
2) Front Framing
3) POV Shots
4) God's Eye View
- He is about to break up with her and she reveals to him that she's pregnant, he instead asks her to marry him.
- At the hospital, he asks the doctor about how a miscarriage might accidentally happen.
- He talks to his best friend and they come to the same conclusion of forcing a miscarriage.
On further thought I have decided to adapt this short by Butler into the Shyamalan style:
I've adapted Don't Go into a script for which I will shot list:
